A BBB works fine for us over night but sometimes requires a bit of boosting.
Have you tried fleece covers if you don't have any wool?
I started our night nappy journey with fleece covers which worked excellent . Now I use wool which I love.
We use VBSN's most of the time. It can all be trial and error really.
