thanks. so with that, if you bid $30 for something (ie that's your max bid), but no one else bids after, say, $13... does that mean you win the auction for $13? (eta I've never bid on EBay so the bidding thing is new to me, only bid on Buyena/Buy4Baby)

But hang on... if you bid $30 then won't $30 just show up straight away as your bid? How do you get it to 'bid this much only if someone else bids?'
