I found that when Mia got to that 2 years + age she was out wetting everything in one wee.
Which I would say is normal because at that age they hold on and do one big wee every so often during the day.
So in a nutshell I don't think your going to get trim & super dooper absorbant for a child of this age
I just changed each time she wee'd
