I used to use Eudora & never had a problem with it. There's a free version & a pay for version, we only ever had the free one.
I actually prefer Eudora to the Thunderbird I now use, but I've got used to Thunderbird now! And don't have any problems with it.
Can you check your email from your actual provider? I've never done it, but DH logs in to our ISP & checks his email from there. Might be an option for you until you find an email program that works for you.
