Default Re: Side sleeping night speculation *think*

Well the eco-disposables are a bit too much for our budget to cope with on an ongoing basis. I am still totally haggard from changing DD's nappies five times a night. I have realised that it's not when she wees that is waking her, but I think it's the wetness that always gathers around her leg that she is sleeping on...

I mean, I have never had any leaks out of the BBB with a BB wool cover, but the wetness on her skin is what makes her wakeful. I bought some MM fleece a while ago that was (all! grrrr!) cut up by my over-enthusiastic DP into liners - I am going to sew a few together tonight to make a big square to entirely cover the inside of the nappy - leg to leg.

I've been boosting with the normal snap in booster and then another bamboo booster the same size, which is three layer. The long snap in ones make the nappy too bulky for DD who is on the last snaps of the littlest size. If my liner 'squares' don't help, tomorrow night I'm borrowing my friend's Wild Child to see if they live up to the hype. I was reading on another thread that a lot of people boost between the nappy and the cover - but as my only BB wool cover is a small, I think I could only squeeze one prefold in there - and I don't know that it would help much, because it's the sides that are the problem.

I can't figure out if I have a heavy wetter or it's purely the side sleeping that is the problem. Sigh. My eyes are falling out of my head. I really would like an night AIO with magic sides!
