Clarinda, is he becoming more mobile these days? The same thing happened to me when Becky was around 9-10 when she started standing up and cruising around the house a lot. And yes the PUL nappies were the offenders, I had to stop using all of them. No strip wash/hot wash/double,triple rinses did any improvement so I just used fitteds with wool soakers instead.
My thought is that the elastics on those PUL nappies are rubbing their skin when they're moving about (not sure why the elastics on the other nappies have no affect on them though
). Eventually the problem disappeared itself and we're back to those offenders no probs
