60 degrees is more than enough, it is more important to get the correct amount of detergent, washing time and PLENTY of time on the line drying!
If you wash at hotter than 60 degrees you will almost certainly wreck your elastic (they are all made from polyester these days) and any PUL you have will get damaged as well.
