Thank you everyone, you have given me a much clearer idea of how many she will need.

I will be making a combination of fitteds and pockets in osfm and in sized (probably about half of each). She has said she won't use flats or prefolds and will only use disposables for the first 6 wks and will then switch to cloth when she is settled in at home and feeling better after her caesar.

So I think I'll start with a few of each and use them when I go over to help her out in the early days and aim to have around 30 to 40 in osfm and small for the 6 wk mark and see how she goes. If she sticks to using them then I'll make her some more osfm and mediums, and then some larges to pad out the stash.
