Totally agree with this method. This is how I do it if I need to use the dryer.
PUL is not some magical, mystical material that can withstand anything. It is basically a plastic, if you heat it up enough
it will melt. To heat it up enough to repair itself is a fallacy, to get it to those temps you are basically "melting" your PUL and running the risk of a whole lot of other problems. That doesn't even take into consideration your elastic which is made of polyester and has a recommended washing temp of 40 degrees.
You can put your PUL in the dryer on low/medium but to be honest if you put your boosters in the dryer on warm and hang the shells near the dryer they will be ready at the same time and you don't risk damaging your nappies.
