Default Re: New nappies repelling- what to do?

As she has gone from using sposies maybe question her about the length of time they were on bub.
My SIL wanted to use cloth so I got her some magicalls to try and the first time she put them on her DD she had them on her for 4 hours including a sleep and was most miffed that they leaked all through the bed! She hasn't used them since as she has it in her head that they create more work so I'll probably end up buying them off her...

On the note of prewashing I am very slack at that and use nappies on my DS after only one wash. I also try new nappies on him as soon as they arrive cos I can't help myself when the fluff arrives, and he quite often goes in them without them being in their raw state and I've never had repelling issues. I'd never leave them on him for a great deal of time though or let him sleep in them for that matter.

So maybe it's not prewashing but other factors at play here.
