LOL, some conquer that reluctance by just NOT having any sposies at all! or hiding them from the partner! ha ha

i can see a place for all the types of nappies. For different situations.

I don't think there are many "shoulds" in MCN - if AIO's are rocking your world, why fix what ain't broke. It all depends on what you would like to do and try. ANd sometimes i buy a certain type of MCN based on what is going on for my bub at the time. e.g we used MCN with synthetic inners happily for 12 months, then boom, my dd suddenly started rashing up to synthetic inners. So my new MCN purchases from then on, were all MCN with natural fibre inners - to help her skin. I might not have bought that sort, were it not for her skin reaction.
I might not have gotten into side snappers, had i not had a bub who first had chicken legs, then chubby legs - based on advice from people online who told me sidesnaps would help the MCN fit her better - and it did - so we kept on buying sidesnappers. With a few brand exceptions, most SS fit her great.

so it's not that you SHOULD or SHOULDNT buy fitteds and covers, it depends on what you would like to do. SOme people love fitteds esp in summer, as they have their baby in just a fitted e.g around home, and don't bother with a waterproof cover. I love fitteds for putting under woollies (e.g longies, shorties and soakers).
Some people buy the fitteds and covers (esp for the very young bubs) as that is the combo that keeps in the runny explosive poo the best for them.
So it all really depends on you and your bub.

my dh started out not at ll into it, just kinda going along with it cos i was so keen, and now, without me being in the room, happily changes our bub into a fitted and longies. So their attitude can change. I'm sure many people around me, were expecting me to get sick of MCN and go buy sposies, the doubters, but the comments have stopped. I know what i'm doing now, and just get on with it. It's harder in the beginning i think, when you are learnign yourself and unsure when some situations crop up (that's when you hop online and ask for help!).
