microfibre is prone to compression leaks, bamboo and hemp aren't. it might be very absorbent but if it gets too wet it acts like a sponge and any pressure on it will squeeze the moisture out. You might find in a pocket that this will mean the waterproof outer can get wet - wicking - if the absorbent stuffer gets too wet. I find it much more effective in conjunction with something else - usually hemp or bamboo. On drying time, depends on how many layers of microfibre IME. it can take as long to dry if there are more layers of it than of say, bamboo.
