The week on/week off thing can be really tough for that, friends of mine were doing it for a while as they were both not working (he was studying, she was taking care of her sick mother). But once they were both working, they found the arrangement didn't really work for them, unfortunately.

Does your ex work? If so, who cares for DD while he works? How far away does he live from you? One option my friends were looknig at was having their DD in a daycare partway between their houses, so she could go there whichever parent was caring for her that week.

House cleaners I know there are always tons of ads in the local community paper looking for them ...
