    Default canesten wash

Bubs has had oral thrush for about a week(cleared up now) and a bit of nappy rash (i dont think its thrush) so hes been in disposables with lots of cream until the rash cleared its now gone so i can use my MCN's again as i didnt want to wreck them
when i wash them can i use the Canesten rinse just to make sure if that any bugs in their are gone and does it wreck the MCN"s
im new to this so im not sure
    thanks

Not that I'm aware of. I occasionally use the Dettol In-Wash without incident. Probably wouldn't use it all the time though.

I've used it a couple of times and it hasn't wrecked mine yet. But yeah, I wouldn't use it every wash...

Those kind of washes aren't necessary. A hot wash (65 C if you can) and either sun drying or in the dryer on hot will be enough to kill the bugs.

if I could remember the exact wording, lol, I'd quote Lara's usual blurb on why these rinses are a bad thing in general... hang on while I go searching for it to copy and paste!

    here you go
    Antibacterial products
Some people will choose to occasionally use a commercial antibacterial product on their nappies. These are not necessary, because detergent, heat and sunlight are all effectively antibacterial and antifungal, alone or in combination. The routine unnecessary domestic use of antibacterial chemicals is in many ways actively harmful, contributing to the environmental disaster of antibacterial product buildup in our waterways and the proliferation of resistant bacteria ("superbugs"). Resistant bacteria attack the most vulnerable people in our society, the ill, newborn, and hospitalised, and community use of antibacterial products contributes to the problem.
