Default Rash on Freya - not sure what to do?

I feel a bit "nappy challenged" LOL and I don't really know what to do about this.

Freya has a bunch of red spots on her bum - there were only 3 yesterday but today they have multiplied. No pus or open sores or anything like that, just raised red spots. Obviously some kind of rash, but I want to get it in hand before it gets worse.

I change her quite frequently - after a nap, between sides for a feed usually, and again before a nap - so she's never in a wet nappy for too long, unless she has a long sleep. I'm not using liners (maybe I should start?).

If I was using disposables I'd put some rash cream on the spots Not sure if I should do this now though? I know I could give her nappy free time to help it out, but it's quite cold here atm, and she really doesn't like being cold so I'm reluctant to do that. Also she's still not really awake all that much except for feeding and a little bit between naps/feeds so there's really not much time for that atm. And I'm not going to feed her with no nappy on!

Any suggestions about what I could do?

    poor bubba!
I'd suggest using some microfleece liners. That way you can use a bit of cream if you want to and you're not going to clog up your nappies.

haha @ feeding her without a nappy on. I do that all the time and mum says I'm brave

you could try dusting her bum with cornflour? or something else gentle that would absorb any excess moisture?
I found tiny rashes like that usually went away on their own within a day or so.

Instead of cream what about some boobie juice

I would also try some liners too and maybe abit of nappy free time....you could feed her nappy free with a towel or terry flat under her to catch anything

Hey Kim, Katherine has very sensitive skin and what ended up working for us was curash powder. I tried everything else, and nothing worked, I think perhaps with her fine skin she chafs a bit. Especially after daycare where of course they don't change as frequently as we do at home.

thanks Lesley I bought some curash cream today, as I've had success with that in the past on the boys when needed. I saw the powder and almost got some! will have to add that to the list for this weeks shop
