    Default what kind of rash?

E has a rash in his nappy area. Its like really tiny red dots.

Does that sound like nappy rash or an allergy to a fabric?

Sounds silly to ask but Mila has great skin and I never ever had rashes with her (except for those burny poo ones).

On E its on his front. So the area his nappy covers above his "wonka" (lol I love that word). He also ha it around his bottom a bit...not as bad there.

My nappies have all different inners. So dont know how to eliminate.

Oh and since I am not used to this sort of thing...what should I use on it?

    Nope definately not like that!

Its quite uniform, more like an irritation, than blotchy and clustered like that.

    They are pin prick spots

I shouldn't have looked at that! Thats a really bad case.

I would have to agree still, sounds like thrush. DS has had just a few spots once and it cleared up with anti-fungle cream.

I would suggest putting anti-fungle cream on it followed by zinc or something for a few days at every change and see how you go.

Freya has had the same red dots as you describe Sarah. I don't think hers was thrush (although she has recently had oral thrush, it didn't coincide with red dots in her nappy area). I just gave some nappy free time each time I noticed them and they went away no problems. I think it's a mild sort of nappy rash, and I noticed it more when I wasn't really giving nappy free time (early days when she was just eating and sleeping, so was in a nappy a lot more). her dots looked nothing like that photo either. just like little pinprick spots.

Kim, sounds like you have described. It was quite red this morning...so after having a nappy on all night...might give the nappy free time a shot

I have a zinc based cream too. I also have a mild broadspectrum fungal cream and dermaid. So I'll give 'em a shot.

It still comes up every now and then. It seems to be only the front above his bits and only in the nappy area.

Its not getting worse. Some days its almost gone and then after a nappy change I'll notice it has flared up again.

My boy has this as well. I took him to the GP, admittedly on a day when there was hardly anything there, and he just said it was a very mild nappy rash. It comes and goes like you describe.

I was going to use a cream like Daktozin (I think that's how you spell it) but I was worried it might really dry out his skin...

I'm not game to click on the link above -- I'm scared it will freak me out! (Doesn't take much with me!)

Emily gets a rash like you have described, tiny little red dots. She gets it mostly after a longer sleep when she's been in a wet nappy for a while. It seems to go away on it's own though. I was thinking it is a heat rash or just mild nappy rash.
