Default Maybe the liner is rubbing?

Jake has an awful sore on his penis It's quite large and is now bleeding and weeping. He seems to get sores on it quite often but usually some cream clears them up in a couple of days until next time. I took him to the dr once and he didn't seem to think it was an infection or anything causing it. I am taking him back tomorrow about this one.

I'm wondering if maybe the microfleece liner gets damp and rubs on it?? I don't know what else could cause it. Anyone else had anything like this happen?

I'm changing him every two or so hours.

No liners here, synthetics and my little boys bits don't go well together (have to sell off 12 d'dlish now ). Have you tried not using microfleece liners for a day or two and see how it goes?

Yep, Alex gets this quite a bit. I have found using natural inners seems to help whilst it is healing helps. He seems to mostly get it when teething too. If it gets really bad the only way we are able to totally clear it up is to use sposies

Yeah I just bought a packet of sposies

CorNic glad I'm not the only one, I was feeling a little like I'd neglected him. Haven't tried no liners, I will once it stops bleeding at least. He doesn't get a 'rash' as such just one or sometimes two sores.

A had a sore like that too and we worked out that microfleece causes it, suedecloth is fine though(which is a relief as I lurve d'lishes!) but we mainly use natural inners
Try lots of nappy free time until it heals and change as often as possible when he has a nappy on.

Hope it heals up quickly for him

We've been battling something similar. We don't use liners, never really have.
We had swabs done by our doc and it was staph. Antibiotics didn't help so we're currently doing some natural stuff including manuka honey and probiotics. And we're in sposies to help it heal because it's just taking sooooooo long to heal.

    Staph?!! oh......eeeeeek! I'm worried now!

Kris, I have been doing lots of nappy time today, as we;ve been busy the last couple of days and he hasn't had as much nappy free time as usual. And that's when it got worse. Maybe a silly question but I'm still a novice here......what are natural inners? I mean what fabrics and nappies for examples? We use here mianly d'lishes, BG's, BBH, CT bamboo delights.

Maybe it is the liners then? I never thought it could be a reaction......

BBH/BBB and CTBD are all natural inners

Natural inners would be cotton velour, bamboo, bamboo velour (ct) and hemp (BBH)
