    Default How often?

Just wondering how often you girls bathe your bubs.
I have a bath on Saturday or Sunday nights and bring James in with me (and SD if she's here, which is usually the case).

All of my friends bathe their bubs every night, except one who does it every 2-3 weeks (she's the only one who's a cloth user. Coincidence?)

I honestly would not be able to find the time to bathe him every day. Anyway, his bits get wiped once a day....if I remember.. ..
...which brings me to my next question. Do you wipe if bub only does a wee? I don't, and it doesn't seem to cause any problems.

Older kids I bathed every day/second day.
When I got to #4 we had serious skin issues and bathing made it worse.
So every 3-4 days for about 6 months, and then every second day, and then up to 4 times a day when she could handle it (as I said skin condition).
Youngest, every second day as a bub.

Alastair and Emma get baths most nights, unless its a busy night and we're out late (or in winter, if they don't want to and aren't that dirty, I don't bother). They're 6 and 2, and get pretty dirty/sticky

Evelyn, maybe twice a week. If she goes in it's the 4 of us together I don't really start doing baths most nights until they're eating enough solids & moving about enough to get really dirty/sticky.

My 4mth old gets one every 2-3days. I don't go wipe-crazy for just wees either, unless he's had a long sleep and the area looks moist. Even then though it's usually just a dry-off.

My almost 3yr old has a bath or sometimes quick shower most days at the moment, as he gets dirty playing, and also seems to work up a good sweat so it's nice to have a rinse off and get into clean pjs before bed. For the first 2yrs he only had baths every 2-3 days.

I either bath or shower bub every night usually unless have been really busy, out or has been quite cold all day. Usually just water except around every 3rd day or so though. Its part of our getting ready for bed routine and as he loves to kick like mad and wiggles all over the place it tires him right out!! On the especially wiggly nights he'll slepp for 10 hours or so instead of his usual 8ish

For baths when they're little I just play it by ear/smell/sight
or if I feel like it/if it will help relax them
also depends on the weather/temp and whether they like being clothes-less - not all bubs do
plus time and what else is on and so on.
So not really a 'set' interval.

Both kids have a bath/shower every night before bed. They get so dirty during the day (food, dirt, sand, grass etc) so they really need it. If DD only wees I don't wipe, never saw the need to

for older kids it's different esp depending on age/dirt levels/weather etc.
We aim for every second night minimum. In winter if it's late and freezing and if they're not grotty, we do it as needed

My older two are usually every night unless we are running really late and they aren't that grotty. Bub was about twice a week, but having started solids this week she has needed a bath more often than that.
