Default what i found works best

just though i would let you guys know for anyone having trouble with dry itchy skin.

my son has pretty bad skin, ive used QV, alpha kerri, natural instinct, goat milk soap, sorbolene cream in the bath, oat baths and none have worked.

the only things ive found work well are bathing him in olive oil it makes his skin nice and moist and soft and it stops the itch but the downside is its VERY messy and coats the skin in a greasy film which i can only imagine would be horrible to sleep with in the heat.

ATM im bathing him in bi-carb, his skin is still very dry so i have to use a cream after the bath but it has stopped the itch, if there is a spot that is realy bad i just make a paste and dab it on, you can also wash their hair with it.
i also use it as a face scrub once a week.

    hope this helps a little.

Thanks for sharing that. i'll try it one day who knows it might work. Sounds cheaper than those lotion i bought fr chemist. Liam hasnt got eczema for 3 mths while we were overseas. Then it started showing again when we return to Melb.

Do you bathe him everyday? I haven't had probs with Evie's skin, but I know that some people that do only bathe their kids once or twice a week as it can be the bathing that contribute to dry skin.

I use avo oil. I guess it would be along the same lines as olive oil - just a different fruit!

thats cause olive oil is the closest to our natural body oil, it realy makes your skin lovely and smell so good you could just about eat it lol.
