Default Is it a reaction from PUL??

I have been using Pea Pods overnight on my 6 month old, pretty much from birth. The last few weeks he has been getting a red ring around his leg, it looks a bit like a fine burn mark and takes a few weeks to go away? It looks like it is coming from where the PUL might be touching him. I thought I might have been doing them too tight and loosened each leg a hole so they are definitely not too tight but he got more marks overnight Can they develop an allergy to PUL? He doesn't have any teeth yet, might he be teething and I don't know it? Any suggestions other than using my fitteds with a cover overnight instead?

It sounds like a reaction to the pul. And yes I was going to suggest a fitted with cover combo
    Try anything with natural fabrics

Thanks, I'll just have to make DH use the BBB with the wool covers, he's been avoiding using them as bub tends to do a leaky poo every time we use the woolen ones and then there's the separate washing/lanolising etc. The Pea Pods were so much easier for him lol...

I use Magicalls during the day and haven't had the same problem with them yet, it just seems to be the tight elastic bits on the Pea Pod legs when there's lots of wee in them. So hopefully that means the PUL BBH covers will be ok as they have the elastic bit on the outside??

Is there any reason why it might be suddenly happening but didn't happen before?

Maybe he is starting to get teeth and the toxic teething wee is making it worse than normal?

In my experience, elastic tension contributes alot to redness/welting in the contact area. I have no idea what or how the nappies you are using work but it might not be a PUL allergy, esp if you arent experiencing a reaction from your day nappies.

The best option is to use another nappy for night use and see how you go.
