I am glad his bottom is getting better too

When you are ready for new liners maybe grab a few silk ones , they work a treat, and you would only need a couple as they get hand washed and dry really quickly.

The red bum has returned looking more fierce. Is there anything else I can try? I might buy some silk liners tomorrow when I have some moolah. Where can I buy them from for cheap?

Any cream I can try? Can creams be used on silk liners?

I use a non-zinc barrier cream whenever Cady gets as red bum, to help protect it a bit. We use the Aromababy one but the nature's child one would be similar I think. We used to use the paw paw ointment when she was younger but it can be aggressive if there are open sores at all.

    nappy free time
cornflour (pure) on his bum (White Wings brand, cheap) - we refill a Gaia powder container and dispense that way
if you're bathing - nothing in the bath but a bit of olive oil
    can try calendula ointment
and diluted/straight Gaia moisturiser to clean the bum at change time, with soft cloth wipes, no store nasties.

Hope the bum is happy again soon

Are you using cloth wipes or bought ones, I found once Charlotte had been in cloth nappies for a while she started to react really badly to the store bought wipes (even the supposedly sensitive ones) We went on holidays and I used only store bought wipes, and within about 2 days her little bum was red raw! Now I just use cloth wipes with a bit of water on them.

I'm using cloth wipes mostly. I spray water onto them with a bit of moisturiser in the water.

ah if it's the Johnson's one I was given I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole - check the ingredients - it's more than cornflour. happy to be corrected if wrong.

What you're after is pure cornflour which the White Wings one is. Others have wheat, and ones like Johnsons have fragrances and other stuff in them.
