yo Briana - I'm the same as you - found NC after I found Buyena. I was a newbie once too. AND GUESS WHAT? I was selling one of my nappies and had a non-paying winner who posts a bit here. So it's not just the newbies you should be concerned about. I think if the person has previously been a non-payer that says something, but for newbies give us a chance some of us are the real deal!!!

AW! it is huh lol

no one ever said all newbies were dishonest - i think it was meant that dishonest newbies may pop up (from eb@y) and that would suck i guess alot of us here have been kinda spoilt, knowing almost all the people we buy and sell from, so its kinda like more of a risk - sorta like the first time you buy on ebay but its great that buy for baby has such good management that bans crooks and refunds relist fees

Absolutely - it was actually the principle more than the money iykwim. And BTW I think this forum is great - although it hasn't been that good for my bank balance .

wow I started this thread like...over 8 months ago!

Briana, Joh's right. I didn't say that new members aren't welcome or all of them are dishonest. I actually was like you - thought I was in a happy nappy fairy land A lot of us are usually very comfortable because we know almost everyone here to sell and buy from, any bad experiences would come as a shock.

It's a risk like buying from ebay and the likes too and I understand everyone has to start somewhere. I raised up this issue because I was getting worried that Buy for Baby could end up being like ebay. Luckily it has a good management that bans bad transaction and refunds your listing fees

Ive only once had a bad experience and it was from a new seller! The person is a regular on another forum and I won the auction, paid and then never heard from them again. No item, no refund - NADA! I opened a dispute but nothing has happened unfortunately and it is now a few months later.

Otherwise the other 99 transactions Ive had (*blushes*) have been great
