Default New bidders on buyena

there seem to be quite a number of new people on buyena. while it's great for promoting cloth and all, I start to feel a bit concerned regarding honesty and reliability. I know sellers and buyers take their own risks but I used to feel confident about selling or buying through buyena as most of users are from NC.

I have a person bought a nappy from me on ebay weeks ago and still haven't heard anything from her since (she was also a new ebay user so no record). Now she was suddenly bidding on my nappies on buyena and won them. I just hope the transactions will be nice and smooth.

I have emailed her mins ago and hope she'll respond to it. She might be a really good buyer after all, but I'm just a bit concerned at the moment

There are some PITA bidders but they are few are far between. I hope everything works out - it will probably be fine. And as long as theyre buying, you're not loosing your nappy until after you have recieved payment so its pretty safe

Please be aware that this thread is viewable to not just members but also guests.

Further, just a little reminder that any personal issues arising as a result of transactions are best handled between seller, buyer and auction site.

when I was referring to PITA bidders, I was referring to my experience on another auction site - not ever Buyena. Just thought Id clarify that point.

Please don't take this the wrong way and I'm not trying to be rude but we can't have it both ways. There was a big call the other day after the ebay kerfuffle asking people to get on there and register so that people being referred from other sites could see a variety of nappies etc and obviously a lot of us have done this. At least if you're selling if you don't unfortunately get your money it will be a PITA but you still have your nappy. Hopefully being not such a huge auction site people will be a bit more honest.

At least on Buyena you get your fees back if someone doesn't follow through with the sale

Sorry if I discuss this in a public section I know it's good for buyena to have more people , I was just annoyed that it also means the place might start getting like ebay a bit.

You're right, I still have my nappies but it's just a pita to relist them if buyer doesn't pay.

I didn't realise that I get my fees back on buyena, unlike ebay Thanks for reminding me Jo

You get your fees back, you just need to ask You should also report the bidder so they can be blocked

I think buyenas fantastic and if we want it too be utilised more widley in the cloth community, we have to take a chance on 'strangers' to NC, and as I said, its only very occasionally that you get someone who doesnt do the right thing.
