90% of Tahlia's stuffers are dry at the very back anyway (she's a wee out the front gal)... but wee doesn't both me in the slightest, so it's bare hands for me. (I'm actually surprised people have a problem with wee)
I had a poo phobia, and would use a plastic knife to scrape poo off the nappies, but I soon got over that and if there was any poo left from shaking it over the toilet, I just grabbed 2 parts of the nappy and rubbed them together (no gloves).... I just wash my hands afterwards.

I dont wear gloves changing nappies......so use bare hands to pull stuffers out
![]() Mia's poo is very messy, so I use gloves and rinse out over a bucket then into the nappy bucket. |

Just hands - I also like to fold tabs back etc. We use a little squirt though so there is rarely any residual on the nappies.

Bare hands here too!
We have a front loader but I have a totally different problem - DP sometimes "forgets" to empty the pooey nappies and after the cycle has finished I end up with poo in the rubber seal thingie at the front? I haven't worked out an easy way to get it out when it happens - any ideas?

I almost only use pockets, so theres a lot of pulling out stuffing for me. I just use my index finger and thumb to pull a little out of the opening, then I shake out into the bucket.
I have a front loader, so I line all my buckets with PUL liners I made myself. Then I just lift the liner out and as Im pushing it in the door of the washing machine I push it inside out so that the nappies all fall out and I dont have to touch them (just have to hold my breathe for a few seconds). The liner just gets washed along with all the nappies. |
