Can you use bath water in a front loader?

Everyday I bathe DS in his plastic tub in the laundry and every day pour the bath water down the sink. All that's in the bathwater is half a capful of bath oil. Rather than waste the water, I thought it could be used to do the pre-rinse for my nappies. I have a Bosch Maxx 800 front loader and was wondering if I can just add baby bath water to a load of nappies for my machine to perform a pre-rinse without adding any more water? Does anyone do this?

um how would you do this. How would you get the water in and shut the door?

i understand that a front loader door locks doesn't it when it is in use.

I havent tried it but this si what I think you can do:

when I have used that colour run stuff it always tells you to put it directly into the machine.

As long as the bath water doesnt reach the door (obviously) you should be able to pour it in without it running out the pipes or onto the floor (i think).

My understanding is that front loaders have a water sensor (ie it stops at a certain point if you choose 1/2 load etc). So say you pour in 2 litres and your pre wash cycle takes 4 litres it will only put in another 2 litres. KWIM?

and of course once the machine is closed thats it till the full wash/rinse/spin is finished. So this would only work for a pre wash.

Its a great idea. You also should make sure the bath oil wont ruin the machine???

or you could try putting your run off/ drain pipe from the machine into the bath water and raise the level so that it's drawn into the machine... (siphoning)

You could tip the water (albeit slowly) into the detergent compartment instead of trying to get the water through the door. Should be fine.

Never thought I doing that, but I might try Hannah's suggestion soon and see how it goes.
