use a flushable liner (soft) in his night nappy so poo won't touch the nappy
pee goes through and nappy absorbs it

Tina - perhaps it is build-up? I find that when my nappies started to sink, an overnight soak (my machine does a soak cycle) in hot seems to work. Perhaps that may work for you?
