oh thats interestng julie. i've had no probs with my 'satin sheets' spray lanolin, BUT i dont use it over dyed nappies really, only print ones.....AND i know the wool in the longies bree wears is dyed properly/colourfast (by katanya, my baabums) and possum pouches ones, no food dye ones or anything....

I'm actually talk more when doing the actual wash/lanolise - see your colours bleed then, or seeing blue/red/green water IYKWIM?

oh. wouldnt that be more to do with how the wool is dyed and the colours (red??) rather than the additives/fragrances?? you need to do a test with ONE type of longies, with a few different types of lanolin

probably Joh - I have put it down to the wool wash in this case, though.
Woollies that I had washed heaps of times before have colour residue in the water after using this wool wash, even a pair made with commercial wool. It was unfortunate that the Baabums were the first pair I washed with this wool wash and had left them soaking for ages resulting in the colour leeching badly. I still wash with it (not my Baabums) but don't leave things to soak for too long.

and would it depend on the water temp, cold, warm, too warm, etc.
i usually use warm water and lanisol, and supermarket wool wash, and get a very light pinkish tinge to the water - but i honestly think its just the way the water looks from the bucket somehow, as when i empty the bucket it looks clear. never had a prob with spay on lanolin...
