Default cold wash

I cant acess Hot wash and was wondering a couple of things

Is it ok to just do cold washes?
If not should I hot wash in a bucket or would clothes dryer be enough?
I hang on the line when I possibly can.
Could a rash be related to me not hot washing?

I just dont know a lot about this sort of thing, Thanks

Caroline

hi caroline,
i always cold wash and we don't have any rashes here.

when we did have a case of thrush, the doc told me that you don't need to napisan or boiling water the nappies. just need to make sure they're dry as the bacteria need moisture to survive.

plus sunlight is antibacterial too!

hth?

I always do a cold wash and sun dry.

However, if it is raining I do a hot wash and dryer.

I tend to hot rinse the pooey nappies in a bucket - otherwise cold or warm wash depending on which button on the machine my finger manages to press! Hang on the line except on a day like today when the dryer is an essential household appliance!

cool, I just needed to know that what I was doing was Ok.

We have had a bit of a rash and DH keeps assuring me that its not the cloth nappies but probably teething!

Thanks,
Caroline
