I was going to ask the same question!
I have quite a few that are to small for Caleb now but probably won't get a wear on the new bub now for 18mths - 2 years.
Thanks for the great info

Great question and helpful tips. The nappies that I'm making for my godson, that are still going strong, will eventually come back to me when we are lucky enough to have our own kids.

How easy is it to replace the elastic and is it a common thing to need replacing?
At the top of the nappy we are putting the elastic in a casing so my thinking is that you would be able to just rethread and sew but around the legs we are just sewing it to the fabric (as per instructions on the pattern).
