I'm expecting #2 in about a month and am doing the nesting thing - washing tiny clothes and nappies... DS1 is 20 months old and his small white Bummis covers (which he wore until he was about 10 months) are not so white any more.
Any suggestions for cleaning them? Will a bleach (or a soak in the pink nappisan stuff) be ok? They just look so yuck and yellow, and I'd love to get them looking fairly new again. |

I personally wouldn't use a chemical on them like bleach or napisan. Try washing then, with a good rinse (even though they are PUL and not a thick nappy with multiple layers to rinse) and dry in the sun - the sun should do the brightening up job for you.

I bought a white Bummis that had a big mark on the outside, I sprayed it with a stain remover, being careful to only spray the stain, it came out beautifully with no ill effect (so far anyway, was at least 6 months ago).
Might help get the worst out and since you spray and wash immediately it is not as bad as soaking (hopefully)! I am assuming it is general dirt rather than nappy stains. Let us know how you go.
