Default NB poo staining on nappies

Just a quickie - DD2 has suddenly got lovely flouro yellow nb poo (I'm sure that's probably normal... midwife didn't seem bothered) and it's actually stained some of the nappies and boosters that are white or natural coloured. I washed with a rinse cycle followed by a regular cold wash (1/2 detergent). Will this staining come out with sunlight do you think?? It's not a huge concern, but as this will probably be last bub I'll be selling nappies as I no longer need them, so want them in as good as condition as possible for the next person to use

Cheers,

I was going to do a similar post. Kye's poos are very yellow/mustard and causing some real stains. Will be watching with hope that sun will get them out.

these stains definitely come out in the sun

we had those kinds of stains weekly with nb poo.... and they all came right out.

(mum didn't believe me until she saw it for herself ... she tried to make me soak them )

I agree Lis. I put a few pockets out in the sun to dry this afternoon that had yellow newborn poo stains, and the stains are now all gone! I just love the sun for stain removal.
(It's great for getting tomato sauce stains out of white t-shirts too!!!)

Brock has some lovely bright orange poos a while back and a day in the sunshine took all the stains out no problems.

They fade no problems....

Ari always does fluro orange poos and the stains are almost always gone after one hang outside, if not then by the next wash they are fine.

I hung Ari's BG microfibre insert, which was very orange, outside (well, undercover on our deck as its cold and raining) 2 days ago....brought it in today with not a mark

There are still UV rays when it is cloudy.
