Default drying wool covers

Just got my wood covers from BBH i need to wash and lanolise them

so is it bad to hang them on the line in the sun big no no
the instructions say air dry (inside or out???)

Or do you just dry them flat on a towel inside

How long do they take if you dry them inside?

sorry lots of questions in my head

Best to dry in shade- dappled weak sunlight is OK, but direct sunlight can affect the colour and texture of the wool negatively.

When you have dunked them in the water and/or lanolin, just ease some of the water out with a gentle squeeze then lay on a towel and roll it up to get more moisture out. Then yep, lay flat on another dry towel and depending on the weather/your interior house climate they should not take too long at all to dry.

You don't have to do this after every wear (only if they get poo on them)- just air them on a clothes airer and the urine will evaporate. If you have two (or more), then rotate the covers between nappy changes of that makes sense?

HTH?

What Lindy said

but I've been finding with the cooler weather that a clothes horse gets them dryer sooner (we wash at least 4 woolies a week as Angus like his meals to be a whole body experience )

If you hang them while wet then they may stretch out of shape so best to lay on a towel. You could always put a towel on the top of your clothes airer and lay it on that so it will get a little more air circulation
