Default Q about staining!!

HI, i noticed for the first time when i went too wash DDs nappies that some of her inserts were really blackish (microfibre BG OS ones) and some of the insides of the BGOS pockets were like blackish and one looked purple Weird.. well i washed them and the inserts are stained looking (dirty looking) and the some the pockets look abit dirty on the inside - does this sound like poo stains?? i have no idea as i havent had poo stains before but the last few days DDs poos have been rather different and really thick and soft... and weird in colour.. she has had a temperature this week too.. Do you think the staining is from this?? or do u think mould?? or that one of my new wipes is the culprite (DF used a new one i hadnt washed yet its black and turquoise velour one from itti bitti?) but some were stained that werent sitting near them so im not sure. i washed late today so there obviuosly isnt any sun so im thinking of washing them again tomorrow and sunning them?? see is that helps or i can use them again and sun them next time?? what do u recommend??

I occasionally have weird stains like that.. purple or yellow or something... I think from being left for longer than a day?
I don't think it would be mould.... it takes a lot for mould to grow on nappies, even if they are left for awhile... I think something to do with the wee?
the sun gets most of them out ... don't worry about rewashing, just use them and try and get them in the sun next time... or you might even find that they wash out in the next wash. rewashing would be pointless and wasteful IMO

Possibly not... we have a few that have faded somewhat but they are still there. Not a real issue for me though.
I'd suggest using nappies you're not so crazy over when using it from now on.

Yep Panadol would be the culprit, we got blackish brown stains from that. Some have just faded over time (we don't have an outdoor line so couldn't do sun) with washes, others have left shadowy marks.

when you use baby panadol in future, i might suggest you try using LAY IN microfleece liners inside your nappies. that way, the worst thing that can happen is that a few bits of microfleece get stained, instead of your nappy inners.

It's not the colour (or colourfree) in the panadol, it's the sorbitol (fake sugars)
