nuts v's powder

not sure where to put this so ill put it here seeing as though there is another soapnut thread in here.

those of you who have used both what works best the soap nuts or the soap nut powder?

I've used both. Currently using soap nut powder and think I'll stick with that because you just toss it in the machine rather than having to top up the bag with nuts every few washes. Also, I had a few occasions where the bag came apart and had to pick out all the skins from my nappies! In terms of cleaning power I don't think I noticed any difference.

Our washing machine's not very good so I just use the soap nut powder for nappies (love it because it avoids repelling problems with my pockets which I was sometimes getting using regular powder). But, *once* I get a new machine I'm keen to give it a go for the rest of the washing too.

I've only used the powder .. bought 2 sample bags and used for normal wash...was quite happy with the wash...just wanted to share a funny story though..I emptied the drier one day to find a full, unopened sample bag of the powder...oops! looks like it fell in the machine and got washed and then dried...it didnt survive unfortunately but I got a good giggle out of it!
