    Default Amonia Smelling Nappies

DS night nappy absolutely stinks of amonia (smells like the straight chemical). I thought it was a UTI but got him checked and all is well, BUT I tried a sposie last night to see if it was the nappy or the boy...and it doesnt smell (well only a normal wee smell) He is in a BG and a BBH bamboo booster overnight and when DD was in the same combination hers didn't smell.

I strip washed 2 mths ago...but am wondering if I need to do it again?

    Any advice/suggestions would be welcome
    Thanks

I find this smell comes & goes with DS ... sometimes it's much stronger than usual when I take the lid off the nappy bucket. What's in wee changes in terms of diet, health etc.

I thought it might be teething..but he has got his last molar through. He also hasn't had any changes to diet. It did coincide with a bout of thrush...so maybe health related?

I have been to the doc and noone seemed that concerned. And yep Mel, must be strip wash time AGAIN. I put him in an IB last night..and while there is a slight amonia smell its nothing like it is in the BGs. Might as wel do it while I am 13 nappies down. Less washing! LMAO

Same here... DS1 is nearly 3 and no more teeth are coming through and it's not a UTI (DP 'borrowed' a dipstick from work!). I put it out on the line for lot's of sun time!

I guess their wee just gets stronger as they get older.
