don't like my new FL washer :(

brought a electrolux 7kg (its nothing to do with the brand I am sure), but I have never had to sort colours before & I didn't for the first few loads. The whites are all yucky

my old TL washer never had this happen

also everything drys crunchy & my gorgeous BV nappies go manky looking. (I have to put them in the dryer for 20mins before hanging them

I can't admit any of this to DH or he might kill me!!!!

Maybe your spin is too high (for the crunchy)

And I don't know about the colours, I always sort.

I agree it flattens the pile on velours.. but have learnt to live with it for the water savings.

ohI forgot to mention now my nappies smell

and I just noticed a wipe that I have had for 3.5ys that still looked nearly new is now stretched and horrible looking

I have reduced the speed down to 700rpm. maybe i will have to go down more.

I think that Lis might have said wash your nappies on delicate to keep the velour looking good? I hate mine too for nappies, it's wrecked them I had nappies that I had for nearly 3years for William and they were still great. Some of K's have barely lasted a year

We have an Elextrolux 8kg and love it
I only ever put spin on 600 and it does a great job - it's gentler on our stuff than some of our top loaders and washes better. I've been putting all Bub's nappies through no probs including beautiful prefolds and bamboo flats as well as fitteds etc

I don't have a dryer and all my nappies have come out fine from the machine to line.

As to nappies smelling and not separating colours - that would be down to I think the items themselves - any of them new? what temp are you using? putting too much in etc etc

Good luck! It's like anything new - once you work out the best way to use it you should be right.
At least now you know someone with the same brand and frontie who doesn't have those hassles, so it can be done

do you have the option of an extra rinse? if so, perhaps try that
