    Default Wool Cover Question

I was in Woolworths (Safeway) yesterday and came across a $1.99 tube of Lanolin Cream for general moisturising. It's just the home brand, with the following ingredients:

lanolin, water, mieral oil, petroleum jelly, beeswax, sodium borate, propylparaben, methylparaben and frangrance

I've heard Lansinoh (pure lanolin) recommended for lanolising wool covers, but I wonder if this stuff will do the trick?

    Anyone know?

Humm - I dont think it will, you dont know how much lanolin is acutally in there. It has too many other things in it. You only need to use a pea size of pure lanolin so a little $4 tube will do you for a while.

No I wouldn't use it on your covers all those additives I don't feel would be good for the wool nor good at lanolising wool covers

propylparaben is aantifungal agent used as a preservative in pharmaceuticals, Methylparaben is a preservative and a fungicide, sodium borate is borax

Those ingredients look like they'd make up a cream rather than a gel (which isn't the right word...).
