Default Squeeky Bitti D'lish and BGs?

I have noticed lately that my Itti D'lish and BG 3.0 nappies have become 'squeeky'. When I am stuffing the BG's or when I am stretching the wings of the D'lishs around to do them up, the PUL is very squeeky. Anyone know what would be making them do this? Up until now I have washed in 65 degree water with and extra rinse and even less detergent than is recomended for nappy washing. I often even run them though an entire cycle with no detergent at all after a normal washing cycle. I always dry on low setting.

Also, another problem I have had with my Itti Bittis is a couple of them have had the PUL come away from the fabric. So far 3 have done it and I am at a loss as to why. I thought maybe it was the temp I was washing at (65) so I have now gone down to 40 degrees hoping that will stop any more from doing it. But as far as I know 65 was still ok to wash them in according to instructions.

can't help with the squeeky bit, but one of my blueberry nappies had the pul come away, and i still use it without any leaks. my wash temp varies as we have a solar HWS but i usually put it on warm, I don't think that causes the pul problem, as only one of my nappies has done it. one of the more knowledgeable girls on here said it was called delaminating or something like that?

sounds like they have delaminated- the PUL and fabric have separated.

Without knowing the other manufacturers care instructions 65 degress is just too hot IMO. The elastic will really cop a beating at that temp.

I think 40 degress is a much better temp.

I would email itti bitti, I've always had excellent customer service from them and they may be able to help
I haven't had this happen to any of my many ittis, after plenty of use. I do wash on 40, but a few of them have been tumble dried quite a bit (we were on holiday in the UK) and are fine

Oh, the ones that have delaminated though are Royal Blue, Chocolate and Peppermint. They are all relativly new. I just up sized to Larges from mediums and have not changed how I washed (until yesterday when I turned the temp down) I had no problems with my mediums at all an we used them for a few months.

I know what you mean about squeaky nappies! I have no idea why they are doing it though!

Yeap, it's as WildChild said- The pul will have delaminated, and the squeaking you are hearing is from wrinkles and folds inside the nappy rubbing against eachother.

I'd really say that 65C is too hot.. I don't wash anything above 50C. Nappies usually go through on a 40C cycle.

    definitely email itti bitti

If it's really irritating, you could try a nappy that has sandwiched PUL.
