WTH am I doing wrong

At the end of last year I had almost all my BG V2.0 replaced as the leg elastic was shot or on the way out.

So...now I have new 3.0 pockets...and again the elastic is going on them.

The elastic is going on some ittis...which have also been replaced...and I think my sandmans are heading the same way too.

I used to wash in Green Care liquid from Big W, but now use soap nuts (pretty sure all my new pockets have only had sopa nuts of that eco stuff...in white bottle from supermarket)

I thought it might be that I hang them over the line to dry (not my AIOs or Sandman, just the pockets)...so now I hang them along the line, and the leg elastic is still going, and now some of the waist elastics are going to.

I rarely use the dryer.

I only do a warm wash...as i thought that could also be the problem.

So what on earth am I doing wrong.

Hmmm I dunno... the usual culprit (well for me anyway!) is that I was hanging them over the line.. but if you arent doing that... I dunno..

Maybe there was a dodgy run of elastic out there and it was thinner than it should have been?

Are they still within the warranty period?

Seeing as it's not just the BG's it does seem there is something going on at your end but what? I'm not sure where you are but do they get left in the sun for longer than they need to dry??

I wonder if your water or bub's wee could just not be reacting well with the elastic?

I hang mine over the line to dry and they still only lose elastic after a good lifespan.

I'd just get really practiced at elastic replacement

Pfft! I'd say you're making too much effort LOL! My nappies sit unrinsed for days, get thrown in the wash whenever I do it. Usually I remember to hit the warm water button, but otherwise it's cold. I use Purity liquid on everything - probably too much out of habit. Occasionally they get line-dried, but lately I've been washing at random hours of the night and things are all going in the dryer.

Do you use the same ones on Blake & Boo? Is it possible to separate your stash so you can determine if it's only happening on one or the other's?

Yep always...and I usually do cold as I am too scared to do hot now. I'm on the gold coast..and yeah I guess they go out in the AM and come in in the afternoon. Altough I don't think my line is in the sun all day.

Blake doesn't use sand man...and they are giving out, and Ella wasn't using BGs when I was having trouble with the elastic, so I don't think its 'kid specific!'

God thats a pain..but another NC mum who lives on the GC doesnt have the same problem? I'd assume she's on the same water supply.

Is your washing machine particularly hard on things? I've seen brand new fabric come out of a front loader looking like it has been washed 20 times compared to coming out of my top loader. Not saying all FLs are hard on clothes and TLs aren't but just an example...

I've got a F&P aqua smart....I did ask on here and others who have them don't have the same problem.
maybe its worth using the delicate cycle???
