Default Is this ointment safe to use on MCN

Hi I'm more of a lurker in here but have been using MCN for a while and DS has just been prescribed an ointment to use. I know there are lots of nappy rash creams that can't be used so figure I should check the ointment before I use it.

    Its Kenacomb Otic Ointment
    Active Ingredients
    Triamcinolone Acetonide
    Neomycin as the sulfate
    gramicidin
    Nystatin

    Inactive Ingredients
Plastibase which is a mixture of polyethylene and liquid paraffin

Sounds like a laboratory but thats from the print out I got from the doc.

If you know if its safe or not with MCN I'd love to know. Should I use liners and if so which are best. Or should I get some sposies for a week or 2 until it clears. Not my preference especially as I have just found success with them overnight but I have to do what is best for DS. DS only wears 2 nappies a day for sleeps but I still want to look after them as best I can

I think I'll do a canestan rinse this week as well. Do I just put that where I would say fabric softener (not that I ever use that for nappies) Or how should I do it. Is canestan best or what else should I do.

Any thoughts whether on the canestan or the ointment appreciated

I wouldn't use anything will Nystatin in it with an MCN. We used it when DD had thrush and it stained everything it touched. I ended up having to throw out a lot of things because the stains just wouldn't budge.
