Default Front loader vs top loader

    Hi,
We purchased a new washing machine over the weekend (a front loader) as our old one (a top loader) broke down.

Since having the new machine my Beehind Bamboo nappies are feeling all hard and yuck and the itti-bitti's and magicalls are crunchy sounding.

Should I be doing something different in regards to washing with a front loader? Currently I do a pre-wash, the normal cycle and then an intensive rinse - all on eco. I'm using the same powder I always have with the old machine, so I don't know!

Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

    Thanks

less powder for a front loader
also you could turn the spin cycle down if you want
I find after they come off the line they are the same, they just seem different coming straight out of the machine.

I think its just because they are have a more efficient spin so they come out drier

I have found with my towels and nappies, the best thing for me is to do a normal wash and with the option for crease care at the end. In my machine, it kind of spins slowly at the end and ind of unwinds everything. Everything is much softer after this routine.

From what I have heard its cause of the spin. If you turn the spin down it will mean they take a little longer to dry and 'apparently' dry a little softer. Otherwise, just give them a twist off the line

Front loaders make everything crunchier, turning the spin down helps, I wish I hadn't got one though.

I haven't had any problem with my stuff being crunchy. My spin is on 800rpm. What's yours on Mel? I hear a lot of complaints about that so maybe yours all spins faster than mine lol

I have a Miele that spins 1600rpm and I've never had this issue. Could you be using too much powder? Is eco using less water? That might not be rinsing the podwer/suds out enough. Just a thought
