I think detergent/washing powder needs to have no enzymes, brighteners etc. I use eco store at less than 1/4 scoop and that works well for us. I think I also remember reading somewhere that powders are better than liquids when it comes to washing nappies?
How old are the nappies? - if they are new they may not have reached maximum absorbancy yet, if they are older, they may need a strip wash.

I use it and have had no problems
is this the earth choice that has sodium laureth sulphate in it?
(they also make dishwashing liquid and other stuff and look like a cheap eco brand found in most supermarkets .. ???? )
check your label .. if so, then i hate to say it, but that's a not a good choice for the earth at alldeceptive, aren't they?
johT .. we rash too .. tis from the sulphates I think .. nasty chemical that one
THE TIME IS NOW - LIVE IT!
We used to use it but found it would build up in our nappies causing smells. Since I switched to powder we haven't had a problem.
