and the Girls, Black Hen, Josh & Pepeyep, ya know it, I'm a trouble maker, sh@tstirrer, b!t@h,generally an opinionated cow, might as well get used to it.Dunno what I'm on about? Just ask Kitikova, she'll know!
I use Purity, but I think it has an optical brightener (bleach) in it so purists would probably advise against it.
Read my blog! or not... I guess I can't force you... or can I???!!!
I use Amolin liquid (anything else bar soap nuts tends to rash up ds...) and don't have any stinky issues.... a few drops of lavendar oil is nice too... oh and are you washing in warm?
If you are only washing every 2 days or something you may find you need to rinse nappies as they come off so the wee isn't drying in there yk?

please tell me to get back to packing!!
I use Tri-Nature Concentrated Laundry Powder 2kg
I swear by it! The kids haven't been rashing from it either so it's a bonus. Lasts me about 2 months too so good value![]()
I just use ecostore from woolies!

We use the Planet Ark sensitive powder. We used to have build up with liquid (Earth Choice one) and haven't had any issues since switching to powder![]()
I use planet arc but I must say, my nappies dont smell as clean as say, towels, when they come out. They still have a smell to them. I have just learnt to deal with it, they are nappies afterall.
I have tried all sorts of things but the smell just keeps coming back.
And, its funny, when I happen to wash a nappy from somebody else's child I can smell the difference. I think that some kids just have really smelly wee.
Also, if I have too many nappies in the machine the smell a little worse. Could it be that you have too many nappies in a load? Oh, and if I leave them for more than a day the smell is stronger too.

Thanks girls
Suzanne I tend to do a HUGE nappy load (I have an 8kg machine and its full)...ever 2nd day, 2 nappy buckets full...I'll give washing every day a go and if no improvement I'll try something new to wash them with!

Can't remember if you've said previously ... are you doing a pre-wash rinse? Could you try giving the nappies a quick rinse before putting them in the bucket? Like Suzanne says maybe the load is too full. I'm often guilty of that ... trying to save water but then end up with clothes and nappies that aren't properly clean.
Hope you figure something out.
