Drying

Would it be bad to dry bamboo inserts over one of those oil filled column heaters? It's rainy today and the forecast is for rain/showers all week and we don't have a drier.

If the direct heat is against the bamboo there is a chance it can damage the bamboo fibres ... Can you hang them very close rather than place them directly on the heater?

Bugger, that's what I was thinking. I'm still holding on to hope that the ones I washed Monday will dry before I need them tomorrow. Hopefully that's not too much to ask.
