Normally you would fill your sink with warm water - wet the shorties - then use the soap either between your hands, or directly onto the shorts - rub all over and get soapy - any stubborn stains you can give a big scrub directly with the soap, then give them a rinse under warm water to get the soap out and lay to dry. If they have never been lanolised before, or it's been a long time since a proper lanolisation you may need more then the lanolin the soap to lanolise them - so either use some lansinoh or some spray lanolin. Remember to be careful when soap them up - if the water is too hot and you rub too much you will felt them. So just give them a gentle rub over.
Julie!
