    Question Llamajamas Q

I bought some Llamajamas this week (my first ever bought woollies... exciting!) from someone who had had them for awhile but never used them or even washed them. Anyway, I've washed them and lanolised them and they STINK! Ugh, it's horrible - a really chemically smell. The dye ran a fair bit so I'm assuming it must be a dye thing, but I'm wondering if anyone has had a similar issue with this brand, and if so what you did about it. It doesn't smell like the dyes I use, so I'm not sure if heating them would help (plus they have a tag which I don't particularly want to unpick and I doubt it would enjoy a whirl in the microwave!).

The smell is a bit less strong now that they're dry, but I'm not even sure if it's a good idea for Mr X to wear them.... WDYT??

i always washed my llamajamas by themselves, the dye did run each time, but i think the instructions said to expect that. I didn't have any problems with them, but didnt smell a strong chemical smell, like you describe. all i noticed was the smell of the lanolin (which was new to me).

when you mention HEATING them, that makes me a bit nervous. washing woollies in hot water has a habit of shrinking them, the instructions say to use TEPID water. so i would suggest you NOT use hot water.

Hmmm maybe it's just me! They're not quite so bad now so maybe they'll improve over time.
