Default sewing in lay in boosters

so before i go all gung-ho and sew all the boosters into my nappies, tell me, is there any reason why i shouldnt... I am not fussed on drying time....

I just hate sorting and assembling nappies and loosing booster.... hate hate hate that.. I had a look through my stash and probably half the fitteds have the booster not attached.. I was thinking of sewing them all in... i dont think i would worry about bulk, i think i would need it. B was an insane wee-er right from the start..

I'm considering doing the same with a few of my nappies, the only issue I can see is placement of the booster, ie would have to be more up front for a boy. But if the booster covers the whole nappy can't see that it would matter!

You mean sew it at one end only so it's still attached while the other end is free? Can't see an issue with that and it shouldn't increase drying time too much

thats it tracee... I am thinking especially with nb small nappies, with all those loose booster, it would take forever, and eliminate Dh from being able to do them....

MiniObsi wee'ed like a boy ... the back of her nappies were bone dry while the front was soaked - and I'm not talking about when she was tummy sleeping - just all the time - standing even.

I can't find the thread but I asked the same thing.

Anyway, jic I left the boosters unsewn
I've since gone through and sewn them all at one end into the back of the nappy so the front isn't stitched down iykwim, heaps better.
    Have extra boosters as well.
even works with a h/m osfm as you just fold the booster down as well

I have been meaning to write in your thread but keep forgetting I was going to sew boosters into my little nappies for bub but in the end decided not to but make long ones that I can fold. The reason I changed my mind was because I thought I could use them later to boost other nappies or in pocket nappies. I just thought more versalitle (sp?). I just told dh that they are colour coded so just use the ones that are the same colour as the inside of the nappy. The nappies I have made have coloured cotton velour in the inside.

I have found that "attached" boosters get twisted and tangled up in the washing machine more and I end up having to undo it all before I hange them out. Also find it harder to straighten them out when dry due to how they've been wrung in the machine.
