Question Will the elastic last and for how long?

If you were to put away NEW washed once nappies to be used say 2-3 years or less down the track will the elastic be good?? or will it age??

I guess it would depend on how you stored them and the quality of the elastic to begin with. Make sure they're in a cool dry environment away from direct sunlight. Put a cake of soap in with them - it helps absorb moisture and makes them smell lovely Or some bi-carb in an envelope will do the same (minus the smell). I have some elastic in my sewing kit I've had for upwards of 5 years, and it's still fine, so there is hope!

I remember someone saying they got theirs out every 6 months to wash them so I guess that is an option too.
