Question another question re smelly nappies

I have read in a couple of threads to use tea tree oil, eucalyptus oil & bi carb in the wash to help get rid of the smell. My question is, which works better out of tea tree & eucalyptus, then can I use them each & every wash or will it harm the nappies? Also, how much bi carb do I put in the wash?
Thanks for your help!

What fabric do you need to get the smell out of?

Before you reach for any of these things have you tried direct sunlight?

Post Re: another question re smelly nappies

I have hemp nappies for day & hemp & microfleece at night. I hang my nappies out at 7am before I go to work (in the sun) & then take them off around 4pm. This prob has only developed due to the cooler weather I presume. I have been using eucalyptus oil but just don't know if I can use it every wash.

I prefer tea tree oil as it has a two fold purpose, getting rid of smells and it's antiseptic properties. However, to just get rid of smells, eucalyptus oil is fine.

I think that Eucalyptus is antiseptic too- but maybe not as powerful as tea tree? (are they from the same family?)

Lavender is good too :-)
