Default How to use "Sport wash" in a front loader?

Hi everyone

Hope i am posting this in the right area

I read about sportwash here a while ago, but am just wondering if anyone who has used it uses a front loader?

My questions are:
- do you use it instead of detergent or as well as?
- which compartment do you put it into? (my FL has a section for detergent or additives like softener). WIth the sport wash being really runny, either slot it seems to just run straight in...?

Thanks!

Lou

Hi Lou,

You use it instead of detergent because it is a detergent itself. I use approx 1/3 of a cap for a full load in a 7kg front loader and I usually put it in the middle tray (yes it runs straight in but that seems to be ok) which is the one for detergent or if I'm feeling particularly lazy I just tip it straight in with the nappies . I don't use it every load as it is too expensive but would if I could afford it as I think it is great. Works a treat.

Thanks for your feedback mary - i gathered it was instead of detergent, but wasn't sure it was going where it should go when i put it in the slot!! To be honest, i have tried it in both slots, but wondered if i was doing the right thing, as it did seem to stain some of my fleece liners (and i thought it may have been b/c it was running straight in before there was water in the machine). So the next time, i tried a little bit of detergent (in the usual spot), and then part way into the cycle, put a bit of sportwash in the softener drawer!! Maybe i should use a bit less, i think i used 1/2 to 3/4 of a cap, as it didn't seem much for the whole load!!
Lou
ps it certainly freshened up the nappies a treat, so my intention was to use it every now and then as well!

I'd heard some nasty things about sport wash... Google Sportswash and burns...

sounds great if your child does not react to it

(your links are broken...)

Sports Wash www.sportswash.com appears to be a facial cleanser? I cannot find detergent on that page at all...

The www.atsko.com/sportswash.html seems to be the one I thought everyone was talking about.

I just want to say though that I have not used either product... and people need to make their own decision as they would with any detergent....

ta for fixing links, was typing in a hurry with a wriggly bub on my lap . I have only used the atsko one and I agree that people need to make their own decision but I can say that my experience with sportwash has only been good

cheers

Likewise to Mary, I have found no problem with the Sportwash causing any skin irritation or burning on my little girl, and it's done a wonderful job of taking away the pongy nappy smell which i couldn't seem to get rid of any other way. I guess like many things, every bub and their skin is different, and it's good to be aware of potential problems (in fact i hadn't heard of any skin problems associated with sportwash until it was mentioned here).
cheers
Lou
